Catbird
Catbird, or, On the Native Flora and Fauna of the Southern Appalachians
This is not a story about catbirds. This is a story about its author and the environment which shaped it.
Catbird is a rambling, autobiographical kinetic novel in which a trans woman recalls her relationship with her mother. Jumping back and forth in time, she describes how her transition and her struggles with employment affected that relationship, leading up to her mother's illness and death.

Elements are listed in approximate order of their appearance in the game.
(I'll be honest, this list makes it look worse than it is, because I was trying to be thorough and include everything I could think of. With that said, it IS still pretty depressing. Exercise caution, take breaks, and take care of yourself!)
